NORTHWEST
If you are a lover of all-things-outdoors, both seeing and doing, then explore the Northwest Region. This area has it all.
First, there’s miles and miles of beautiful coastline for ocean lovers. It’s mostly rugged and rocky but there are fabulous beaches as well. However, don’t expect warm water for swimming. Currents flow down from the Arctic region keeping water temperatures low.
Then, there’s awe-inspiring scenic mountains, including the top 10 highest mountains in the USA. Damp, dense forests fill the green interior section. This area is home to hundreds of breath-taking waterfalls, hiking trails, and a large variety of wildlife.
Looking for city life? This region has several large metropolitan areas, located in the western portion of the states (southern area for Alaska).
Lastly, recreation here ranges from the mildest to the wildest. So, if you are looking for epic outdoor activities–kayaking, biking, fishing, and more—look no further than America’s Northwest corner.
