MIDWEST

Looking to visit the Midwest? These four northernmost states in the USA’s center section have plenty to offer.

First, you’ll find breathtaking scenery during all four seasons. There are 195 state and national parks, wildlife refuges, forests, and historic sites to see. Scenic byways make travel through these areas a delight, however, prepare for frequent “photo-op” stops.

Second, outdoor adventurers have year-round activities to enjoy. Warm weather offers camping, boating, fishing, hiking, and biking while cooler days are perfect for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.

Third, you’ll find history galore. Legendary names like Lewis & Clark, George Custer, Sitting Bull, and Frank Lloyd Wright have left their mark. This region is home to Native American culture and Wild West history. Old frontier forts and Bison on the prairie take you back in time.

From Mount Rushmore in the west to America’s Dairyland in the east, you can enjoy everything from satisfying dining to inspiring art to unique places to stay. Be sure to visit the Midwest.
